Cepavdue begins shopping with PRO-Q

June 8, 2018

On June 6, the contract between Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (Italian Railway Network) and the Cepavdue Consortium, which is in charge of building the first lot of the Brescia-Verona High Speed/High Capacity Railway Line, was made official: thus, the first tenders to award goods and services needed for the work, which will go through the PRO-Q platform, have begun.

IThe first lot – worth 1.645 billion euros – and due to start by the end of the year, also includes the 2.2km “Verona Merci” interconnection with the Verona-Brenner axis.

The selection of supplies using PRO-Q software will certainly result in considerable savings, given the large volume of purchases required for such a massive undertaking: in fact, the total value of the project will reach a total of 1.9 billion euros.

This budget does not include some crucial passages of the Line, such as crossing the urban nodes of Brescia and Verona, which will increase the total cost of the work to 3.4 billion euros, about 64 million per kilometer.
